Did We leave school or did Schooling evolve?

Questions to Ask About Online Schools | Understood - For learning and thinking differences

As reported by UNESCO, by the end of March 2020 over 87 percent of the word’s student population had been affected by school closures caused by covid, meaning 87% of students were still attending school however the classes would be conducted online rather than face to face. COVID-19 forced teachers, parents, and students to swiftly take on the new means of education and in the given roughly 2-week period schools around the word rapidly had to find and implement viable alternatives to face-to-face education.

How did schools in Australia adjust to online learning?

Most schools in Australia resorted to Microsoft teams or Microsoft one note to set tasks and them in while teachers used zoom to venerably communicate with students while giving the student time to ask questions. teachers also showed concern with a survey conducted on Pivot where 77 percent of teachers feel a disruption to their social connection with their students which personally having a good social connection with your teacher makes for a more enjoyable class.

Biggest disadvantages with online learning

While online learning in most cases is considered more convenient, like everything it has its negatives. The big one that affected everyone whether we want to admit it or not, online learning requires an immense amount of motivation and self-control to stay on track. A big one for me personally during that crazy time was the lack of social interactions with friends and adjusting to that reality was hard and returning to normal school was even harder.

Whether we like it or not COVID has affected us forever in every aspect of our lives but more schooling. Before COVID school was just school, you went there Monday through Friday for six hours a day however now you can attend everything online even a high school which is just crazy to think about but opens a lot more doors.

Internet privacy has always been a concern but what is it? Internet privacy or online privacy is the level of privacy or protection you have while connected to the internet. In the last decade, the number of online threats and data breaches has been multiplied by 10. Online privacy is a growing concern for people of all ages with more and more people gaining access to the internet every day. Companies track your online activity across the internet and serve you with relevant ads to what you’re most interested in. 3 of the most common privacy issues online today include:

  1. Tracking across the internet

While browsing the internet you may have noticed ads following you based on your earlier searches or visits to websites. This is caused by websites and advertisers tracking your movements across the internet.

  1. Theft

A mind-blowing 1.3 million Australians there are affected in one way or another by identity theft. Cybercriminals or hackers as there also referred to use spyware to gather information, bank details, etc., to eventually have enough information to almost live your life.

What can you do to protect yourself?

A good first step would be to download a good anti-virus such as Avast which is free. This should be enough if you download a virus or have some sort of spyware on your computer it should alert you. Another free alternative to this could be Malwarebytes which for the most part does the same thing except it doesn’t give you virus protection.

2020 Aston Martin DBX sold out in Australia

Aston martin’s first SUV is already sold out in austrila and new Zealand, Unveiled in November 2019, the DBX has only been shown to a small group of current and prospective Aston martins owners in austrila, and the order books are already full.

“It’s been a roaring success,” said Patrik Nilsson, Aston Martin regional director for Asia Pacific. “It’s blown us out of the water as to how well it’s been received.” Nilsson has no idea how long the car will be sold out for but he says he is working to restore local supply’s.  Just 5000 examples will be built globally every year, partly to maintain exclusivity and partly because that is currently a hard limit on factory capacity.

Aston martin has publicly stated that the company expects to sell 55 vehicles annually, “One of my tasks now is to make sure we get more allocation … it’s hard, but it’s not as hard as problems are sometimes,” Nilsson said.

Strong demand for the DBX has the potential to significantly boost Aston Martin’s sales, which hit 129 (down 22.8 per cent) in 2019.

The car has attracted plenty of interest from existing Aston Martin owners – Nilsson says 73 per cent of Aston Martin owners already have an SUV in the garage, offering a solid base of prospective customers – but it’s also drawing in buyers new to the brand.

“In Asia Pacific almost 60 per cent of the orders we’ve taken are from conquest – so new to brand. That is way beyond my expectations,” he said.

“We’re totally attracting new-to-brand customers.”

Pricing for the DBX will start at $357,000 before on-road costs when it arrives in Australia, pitching it between the Lamborghini urus and Bentley bentaga.

Power comes from a 4.0-litre turbocharged V8 engine outputting 405kW and 700Nm, put to all four wheels through a nine-speed torque converter automatic.

The 100km/h sprint is dispatched in 4.5 seconds, and fuel economy is pegged at 14.3L/100km on the WLTP test cycle.

Inside, the DBX gets a full-length panoramic glass roof and frameless doors, along with separate inboard armrests, buttons and switches that fall to hand comfortably, and an Alcantara headlining trim option that Aston claims to be an industry first.

Porsche Taycan Turbo S equals Bugatti Veyron and beats 911 Turbo S in performance test

Recent tests in the united states have reveled that porches new electric vehicle is a worthy rival to modern day super cars.

porches first electric car, the taycan is yet to arrive in austrila, but if the stats of this car is anything to go off, it should be one of the fastest cars on the market.

In resent performance tests, the american automotive magazine Car and Driver found that porches flagship taycan (The taycan turbo s) was the third fastest car ever test placing it in high end super car to hyper car territory.

In resent performance test the turbo s was able to hit a speed of 60mph (or just over 96kph) in just 2.4 seconds. to put these number into perspective a Bugatti vayron, a 8.0L, quad turbo charged 16 cylinder hyper car pulls the same 0-60 time and the turbo s, but in saying this the turbo s suffers a fate all electric vehicles do with a top speed of 161mph (or 260kph) the Bugatti trumps the turbo s with a blistering quick 254mph (or 408kph).

the porches taycan may be a hard sell down under. The claimed most affordable model (the taycan 4s) is nearly a whole 2 seconds slower then the turbo s. but in saying that with a range of only 192 miles (or 308 kilometers) you wouldn’t be putting your foot the the floor to often.

The Taycan Turbo S is expected to arrive in Australia in the fourth quarter of 2020, with pricing estimated to be around the $350,000 mark and the Taycan 4S expected to start at around $200,000.

Introduce Yourself (Example Post)

This is an example post, originally published as part of Blogging University. Enroll in one of our ten programs, and start your blog right.

You’re going to publish a post today. Don’t worry about how your blog looks. Don’t worry if you haven’t given it a name yet, or you’re feeling overwhelmed. Just click the “New Post” button, and tell us why you’re here.

Why do this?

  • Because it gives new readers context. What are you about? Why should they read your blog?
  • Because it will help you focus you own ideas about your blog and what you’d like to do with it.

The post can be short or long, a personal intro to your life or a bloggy mission statement, a manifesto for the future or a simple outline of your the types of things you hope to publish.

To help you get started, here are a few questions:

  • Why are you blogging publicly, rather than keeping a personal journal?
  • What topics do you think you’ll write about?
  • Who would you love to connect with via your blog?
  • If you blog successfully throughout the next year, what would you hope to have accomplished?

You’re not locked into any of this; one of the wonderful things about blogs is how they constantly evolve as we learn, grow, and interact with one another — but it’s good to know where and why you started, and articulating your goals may just give you a few other post ideas.

Can’t think how to get started? Just write the first thing that pops into your head. Anne Lamott, author of a book on writing we love, says that you need to give yourself permission to write a “crappy first draft”. Anne makes a great point — just start writing, and worry about editing it later.

When you’re ready to publish, give your post three to five tags that describe your blog’s focus — writing, photography, fiction, parenting, food, cars, movies, sports, whatever. These tags will help others who care about your topics find you in the Reader. Make sure one of the tags is “zerotohero,” so other new bloggers can find you, too.
